The computer club has been set to help the public to become proficient in many aspects of using computers including using Windows, the use of word processing or spreadsheet programmes, the internet and e-mails and anything else you can think of. The tuition is not in the form of a structured lesson as each person’s needs are different so the emphasis is more on the student to ask about something they are trying to do at home or work.
There are laptops provided which operate on Windows 7 and MS office 2007, but a pupil can bring their own laptop to familiarise themselves with their own system.
The class is open from 1pm to 3pm every Tuesday during term time. If you wish to attend you need to apply to the Workers Educational Association (WEA) in Mansfield through the project manager Julie Brooks by clicking on her name.
